OMG so I have posted a journal in forever. I am finally back from my winter break vacation in India which I must say was AWESOME!!!!! I was apprehensive about going cuz Regional called me up and was like we have a lotta hours for you and you will make a lotta money and when my parents were like ya were going to india i was like *sad face*. But now that I think about it, I'm really glad I went. I really missed my family. I miss having family in general. The family I have here are a bunch of greedy selfish bastards who dislike us, so we dislike them. And the family there is a billion miles away. But ya anyways, about my trip...We started by going to my dad's brothers house and chilled there for the night. Then I went to my cousin Darshan's house and met his new wife. Saw my cousin Bhakti and cousin Nayan and all the family. It was really awesome being with cousins around my age. Like even though there are uber cultural differences, they still know how to have fun in India! Then I saw my cousins Maya, Chaya, Harsha and Shefali at Borivali. Maya has 2 little kids now who call me Mana hahaha so cute! And thennn after a week of chillin we went touring in the north. Went to delhi first, then agra and saw the taj mahal, then jaipur to see the awesome forest there. There were tigers and elephants and lots of cool stuff. Then we went back to Mumbai (bombay) to see my family again before I left. Ya I realize there are a billion gaps in the story but thats the jist of it. Now im back in troy freezing my ass off!!! AHHHHH!!!!! Good to be back! I will be updating often now =P

Fire is fun

So today was pretty fun. Started out by studying for Mat Sci at the firehouse. Got a call late in the day for a chest pain/diff breather. Nothing too serious. But tonight was AWESOME. We lit our IED project on fire. A $600 machine engulfed in flames due to a half gallon of gas poured on it. It was an awesome time just standing outside with my IED group and watching it burn. Jeev then proceeded to put his IED notebook in the flames which later spontaneously combusted. We put the flames out using an ABC Dry chem fire extinguisher (being on the fire dept DOES teach you something), but Aidan, being the assmonkey he is, sprayed my CAR WITH IT which made my car very sad. Since I had to spray it off with water, the car froze over :( Sad face. Anyways, it was an awesome time, so obviously my pic of the day is my IED project...ON FIRE

so finally, xmas party is over, elections are over and wow I AM TIRED. Sooooooooooooooooooooooo much stuff has gone down in the past 24 hours, its ridiculous. Ok so first with elections. I have officially been voted in by the house as the new Senior Steward, which is a council position which entails basically managing the house, making sure no one fucks shit up too much and fixing stuff when it breaks. I look forward to having fun and making sure the house is in awesome condition! =]

so ya, about xmas party, HOLY SHIT is all i can say. we started off pretty normal, regular drinking and lots of fun. so when it was my turn to get the parrot bay jared gave me (which is my favorite drink), i was well on my way to being drunk. so when i went up, i gave santa a sip, then took the bottle and started CHUGGING. everyone thought i would just go for like a few seconds, but i kept going till the bottle was about half empty. all i heard from the crowd was "holy shit he's gonna die" or things of that nature. so ya, i was REALLY trashed after that, and it was awesome. i remember biting joe adamchykz and making myself "the guardian of the bell" which basically meant i sat under the bell and made sure no one took it. i was there for about 2 hours and finally, someone snapped their finger in fronta me. i looked up and THE BELL WAS GONE...my eyes were open the whole time, i was just zone out. so i declared me life a failure from that point on and went to bed....it was great =]

i am pretty content with how elections went, we have a solid council and im sure we're gonna get a lotta shit done. TO ACACIA!

Been a pretty decent/busy day. Started the day off EMS wise with a cardiac arrest at 6 am. The patient was long gone by the time we got there so our efforts were fruitless. Then I got back to my room and slept again afterwards, went to Sports Psych where I found I got a B in the class :) :) FOR DOING NOTHING!!! WOOHOO!!! Then an hour went by and there was a huge 2 car accident on hoosick which stopped all traffic, no injuries, but the cars were in the middle of the road for a good hour. Went to physics and found I got a C in the class, which isnt horrible, but I'm gonna have to do awesome on the final to get a B. We'll see what I can pull off. As for tonight, TREE RAID BEGINS. For those of you who dont know, tree raid is where the sophomore class and the current pledge class duke it out. For 24 hours, we kidnap each other and battle and at the end of the 24 hours, if there is a tree in the corner of the wing, the sophomores win. If there isnt, the freshmen win. OBVIOUSLY THE SOPHIES ARE GONNA WIN!!! The juniors and seniors just sit around and heckle us, but we can take care of that ;)

So the elections for the IFC are finally over and when the dust settled....I CAME VICTORIOUS!!!! You know it biatchhhhesssss I am new the IFC VP Risk Manager. My life goal has been attained, I can now die in peace. Well no, not really, but that makes me happy. Anyways, I'm at a toy drive right now, getting toys and stuff...ya. Tomorrow is gonna be fun, my IED group might be coming for bar night/destroying and burning our IED project. Pics to come soon! SO HAPPY IED IS OVER!!!!

ok, HOLY FUCKIN SHIT I HATE PEOPLE SO MUCH...so i was going to a fire call today, charley ems for a diabetic emergency, and of course, I'm like the only EMT who ever shows up, so its imperative for me to get there fast...so im going down tibbets with all my lights on (those of you who have seen my car you know i have a very nice LED light system built in)...and there are like 5 cars on the road, and NO ONE MOVES...like they slow down, they ascertain im there, but they dont MOVE...HOLY SHIT ppl is it that hard to pull over for half a second as i pass for a LEGITAMATE reason...answer this, if you see a blue light behind you, would you pull over?

OMG! Why is it such a surprise I have a livejournal to everyone??? I may be a bit anarchistish but I DID have a xanga! Anyways, I got 8 fuckin pages of my IED paper (doublespaced) done in under 2 hours! I am honestly the king of bullshit =] Other than that I went to my sports psych test, mad easy, then went straight to the fire house for like 4 hours. I just worked on my paper and studying for physics there. Its such a great place to study. Quiet, clean, NICE leather chairs to sit in and wireless internet :) Everything a fraternity house is not hahaha I just hang out, do my work and am always around for the ems calls, cause I know they have a problem finding EMTs to show up for those. The plan for tonight is very basic. STUDY!!!!!!!! and prepare for my IFC elections tomorrow. For those of you who dont know, I am running for VP Risk Management of the IFC (interfraternity council). Wish me luck...or die! Back to work now..WOOHOO!!

Ok so I am like a god at predictin shit, there were like a 1000 traffic accident calls in the county. Brunswick only got 1, but we also got a lil ol' lady fall and go boom call so its ok! currently, I'm unhappily studying for my physics 2 exam which im gonna fail miserably. I also have a sports psych test tomorrow and an IED paper and design notebook due. WHOOPDIDOOOOOOOO. I might as well begin to work, cuz thats all I can do at this point.

I smell a snow raid? ;) Well, off to the firehouse to do some studying and be ready for the plethora of traffic accidents which we are gonna get since PEOPLE DONT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE.
